for Aaron and Jennie

From Micah:
A friend of Jennie, Aaron, died in a motorcycle accident today. Please pray for the repose of his soul and for Jen's spiritual well-being.
+Lord, remember your son, Aaron, whom you called from this world into your prescence. In baptism he died with Christ: may he also share his resurrection, when Christ will raise our mortal bodies and make them like his own in glory. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

+Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

an old prayer...

Lord, help our nation to grow closer to You, that we may stop these violent acts and grow more fully as a nation to serve You together as one.

Prayer to Know One's Vocation

Lord Jesus, up until now you have been quietly preparing me to be your disciple. Now the time of preparation is ending. I seem to hear you say to me as once to Peter: "Will you also go away?" You were saddened then by friends who failed you. But Peter did not fail. "Lord," he said, "to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life."

I stand with Peter. Through prayer and counsel, show me, Lord, where it is in your vineyard that you want me to serve. Then give me strength to be faithful.

Mary, Mother and Model, help me to respond in generous love to the call of your divine Son. Amen.

sorrow

+Lord, I weep in my weakness. Take me, Lord, into your loving embrace and never let me part from you. Let me not fall away from your holiness. Allow me always to follow your perfect will. Heal me, Lord, and set me on your path once more. I seek you always.

for Icey

Please, if you could, say a prayer for me today. I am having a really hard day, feeling rather depressed (I've cried a few times, too). I miss my husband alot today. Its been one of the hardest days apart so far, I could just use a couple Hail Marys... Thanks pham.
(asking for prayers on august 17th) Icey's husband is in the military and has been shipped off for a long period. They have already been apart for many months and some days are harder than others. They have two beautiful little girls, Adrienne and Genevieve, and are expecting a third.

+Lord, bless Katie. Help her in her daily tasks. You know what I desire for this family, please take it and do with it what You will.

friendships

for all friends, that they grow together in holiness. may each of them always strive to help the other to sainthood. for the good times and the bad, that they find a way to stick it out and always remember why they are friends. for love in the relationships, that it reigns above all. most of all, for God's will to be done in every circumstance. (i pray especially for 'atca' and i, that we always find it in ourselves to keep loving each other and keep growing together, stronger, better, closer with each day that passes. God's will be done.)

for ash

... please continue to pray that if it's God's will he may lighten my cross a little, maybe cure me, heal me some, but most of all be my guide during this critical time.
So I'll take my cue from ash: +If it's Your will, lighten her cross a little, maybe cure her, heal her some, but most of all be her guide during this critical time.

for Joseph

Please pray for Joseph ... who used to be a very active Catholic when a teenager. He is 25 now and has been an opium addict for 4 years. Please pray that he be totally healed, physically, mentally, and emotionally of his addiction. And please ask the good God to grant that Joseph contact me because I don't know where he is and I am suffering.
+Lord, bless Joseph and keep Him safe. Bring Him to newness in life; refresh Him with your love. Most of all Lord, grant peace to the author of this email. Console her; let her feel your loving embrace.

Lord, should I, in my weak prayers, forget Joseph or his companion, remember them for me. You know that my heart will never forget them, help my mind not forget them either.
